11/03 Well well well. The First Birthday
of Cranial Health. Thank you everyone who sent presents and elves.
This was, fittingly enough, a Rrreal Psychiatric Night, with about
as much concession to top of the pops as anyone could hope for.
First up, Usurper and C K Dexter Haven played a mercilessly quiet
set on a selection of Disabled Instruments. Guitars with no strings,
laptops with no memory, shops and businesses long bankrupt, boarded-up
& brokenwindowd - everything mutilated so as to prevent all
attempts at "normal" methods of playing. And ladies
and gentlemen - It Were Great. Yes, really. The monarchy of the
mainstream can consider itself deposed. Year Zero is here.
